What can I say about my first full year of shooting photography (part-time) of families outside of my relatives and circle of friends? It was a whirlwind of excitement, anxiety, and pure joy. I allowed myself to express my creativity in an art form that helps identify who I am. And I had the privilege of photographing several families and individuals who helped me find my way. I started this year photographing families, children, boudoir, events, engagement and maternity. You will notice in my 2012 gallery of photos, I limited myself to what I truly enjoy the most - family, children and maternity photography. 2011 was definitely the year of finding my niche. So I tried everything! What better way to grow than to try all and then eliminating what doesn't speak for me through the lens.
